Keeping food overnight without refrigeration, even if well covered with foil and plastic wrap, can lead to the growth of harmful bacteria and spoilage. While covering the food can offer some protection against contamination from the environment, it does not eliminate the risk entirely.

To ensure food safety, it's crucial to adhere to proper food storage guidelines:

  2. Two-hour rule: The "two-hour rule" states that perishable foods should not be left at room temperature for more than two hours. In hot weather (above 90°F or 32°C), this time reduces to one hour.
