Quick Release: If you wish to release the pressure quickly, you can do a "Quick Release." To perform a quick release, carefully turn the steam release handle or valve from the "Sealing" to the "Venting" position. Steam will rapidly escape from the pot, and the float valve or pressure indicator will drop down immediately.
Important safety note: When performing a quick release, always use a utensil or towel to turn the steam release handle to avoid burning your hand with the escaping steam. Also, keep your face and hands away from the steam to prevent any potential burns.
