To determine if a microwaved container is still hot without touching the inside, you can use one of the following methods:

  1. Visual Inspection: Observe the container closely and look for signs of steam or condensation on the walls or lid of the container. If you see steam rising or water droplets forming, it indicates that the contents are still hot.

  2. Hovering Hand: Gently hover your hand a few inches above the container without touching it. You should be able to feel the heat radiating from the surface of the container if it is still hot.

  3. Use a Thermometer: If you want a more precise measurement of the container's temperature, you can use an infrared thermometer (non-contact thermometer). Point the thermometer towards the surface of the container to get an accurate reading without touching it.

  4. Use a Heat-Sensitive Sticker: Some adhesive stickers change color when exposed to heat. These heat-sensitive stickers can be stuck to the outside of the container before microwaving. Once you remove the container from the microwave, check the sticker for any color changes, indicating that the container is still hot.

Always exercise caution when dealing with heated containers, as they can cause burns or injuries. Allow the container to cool down for a safe amount of time before handling it. Additionally, make sure to follow proper microwave safety guidelines and use microwave-safe containers to prevent any potential hazards.
