To change the nozzle on a power washer, follow these general steps:

  1. Ensure the power washer is turned off and disconnected from the power source.
  2. Locate the nozzle attachment on the end of the spray wand. Nozzles are typically color-coded and are either threaded or quick-connect style.
  3. If you have a threaded nozzle: a. Hold the spray wand with one hand and use your other hand to grip the nozzle firmly. b. Rotate the nozzle counterclockwise to unscrew it from the spray wand.
  4. If you have a quick-connect nozzle: a. Pull back the collar on the quick-connect fitting at the end of the spray wand. b. While holding the collar back, firmly pull the nozzle straight out from the quick-connect socket.
  5. Once you have removed the old nozzle, choose the desired new nozzle for your intended task. Nozzles come in different spray patterns (0°, 15°, 25°, 40°, and sometimes soap nozzle) to control the intensity and width of the spray.
  6. If you have a threaded nozzle: a. Align the new nozzle with the threads on the spray wand. b. Begin screwing the nozzle clockwise onto the wand until it is tight. Be careful not to overtighten.
  7. If you have a quick-connect nozzle: a. Align the new nozzle with the quick-connect socket on the spray wand. b. Push the nozzle straight into the socket until it clicks into place. c. Give it a gentle tug to ensure it is securely connected.
  8. Once the new nozzle is attached, you can connect the power washer to a power source and start using it.

Remember to always refer to the manufacturer's instructions for your specific power washer model, as the steps may vary slightly.
