- Let the weight sit on the pan for about 20-30 minutes while the heat is on.
- Turn off the heat and carefully remove the weight.
Oven Method:
- Preheat your oven to a low temperature, around 300°F (150°C).
- Place the warped pan upside down on the oven rack.
- Put a heavy oven-safe object, like a cast-iron skillet, on top of the concave area.
- Let it sit in the oven for about 30 minutes to an hour.
- Turn off the oven and allow the pan to cool down with the weight still on it.
It's important to note that these methods may not work for severely warped pans or pans made of low-quality materials. If the pan is beyond repair or poses a risk during cooking, it's best to replace it for safety reasons.
Additionally, prevention is always better than trying to fix warped pans. To prevent warping, avoid exposing pans to extreme temperature changes, don't subject them to rapid heating or cooling, and avoid using high heat for extended periods.
